Emily's 3rd Birthday

Our little cupcake turned 3 years old last Sunday and she enjoyed a day full of celebration. After breakfast, Emily opened all her birthday presents from family and it's always a joy to have new toys to play with in our house. Megan and Elizabeth chose gifts for their baby sister and not surprisingly, there was definitely a Toy Story theme this year. So far Emily's favorites are her new Toy Story floor puzzle and Jessie doll.

After a morning of playing with new goodies, we strolled down the river on a beautiful day because the birthday girl wanted lunch at McDonald's. And to top off the day, we invited our neighbors and playgroup friends over for a pool party fiesta in the evening. The kids splashed around and everyone feasted on tacos before enjoying birthday cupcakes.

Emily clearly relished her status as birthday girl and kept reminding us that she is now a big 3-year old, complete with the correct number of fingers displayed. Emily had a great day and I'm thankful for our family and friends near and far who made her feel so special!
