Since school was in session during their visit, Vicki and Steve spent a morning at Singapore American School. I signed them up to be VIPs in Elizabeth's Pre-K class so they spent time helping the class create their Valentine mail boxes for the upcoming holiday. After coating their fingers with red paint, Vicki put on her teacher hat and read two books to the class. They were the first grandparents to be able to volunteer in the class this year and Elizabeth was excited to have Gran and PaPa at school with her.
After some down time at the library, we hit the high school cafeteria to pick up sandwiches for lunch with Megan. One of Megan's classmates asked if Steve was her father, which she thought was funny. After dining in the primary school cafeteria, Megan gave Gran and PaPa a quick tour of her second grade classroom before she had to run off to art class and finish her school day.
I'm glad Vicki and Steve were able to visit the girls at school and see firsthand where they spend much of their time these days. And I think they were able to get a glimpse at why our family has been so happy with our experience at SAS so far.
